From Basement Beginnings to 20 Million Smiles Around the World
Funovation will soon surpass over 20 million smiles created around the world- a fitting feat for our company that prides itself in cultivating a culture of fun!
The event will mark a major milestone for us, equating one Laser Maze Challenge® play with one smile, and estimating a smile is created every 4.516 seconds. “It’s remarkable! To think, only 7 years ago, we started with an idea inspired by the movies and a prototype built in a basement,” reflected Co-Founder and Chairman, Erick Mueller. “And now we are approaching 20 million smiles created around the world! We founded this business with the vision to ‘remind the world to play’ and to help make the world a happier place. To allow people to pause, have fun, and smile, is such a privilege.”
To celebrate the achievement, we are asking fans of the company to post photos of their own unique “smile style” on our Facebook page. The best photo winners will be announced on October 3rd. Photos from the event will be displayed this November at our IAAPA Attractions Expo booth (#4646) in Orlando, Florida.
In its short tenure, Funovation has installed over 179 Laser Maze Challenges® in 20 countries, developed the first scanning laser fully integrated in game play, and has been awarded 3 patents with 4 more pending. Next on the horizon for us is an appearance in partnership with Corkcicle at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver and a seventh appearance at the IAAPA Attractions Expo.
